The Hotel Genevieve project in Louisville took us on a journey through time, history and tradition. We were faced with the task of not only high accuracy, but also the correct storytelling.
Louisville is a city with a rich history. The hotel is located in a very unique place: from its windows, you can see the state of Indiana, even though the Hotel Genevieve is located in Kentucky.
The city hosts some of the most thrilling Triple Crown races, and the Kentucky Derby has been held every first Saturday in May since 1875.
The talented designers at @rohecreative masterfully integrated key elements significant to the city into their design. The eclectic style beautifully reflects the spirit of Louisville. Bright and vibrant colors bring the space to life, capturing the energy and hospitality characteristic of the region. The design’s vivid accents infused the space with traditional motifs (such as the iconic derby hats), making the Hotel Genevieve truly vibrant and memorable.
